Casey Key is an 11 mile long barrier island just to the West of Nokomis and Osprey. The Key is joined to the mainland by two bridges, the North bridge at Blackburn Point Rd. is an historic "swing bridge" dating back to the 1920s. It has been featured in numerous movies for it's "time piece". Casey Key is one of Florida's most prestigious addresses. Your winding 11 mile drive will give you spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico to your West and Blackburn Bay (Intracoastal Waterway) on your East. You will see many homes that exude a blend of wealth, elegance and "old Florida" charm. The word "mansion" will come to mind several times. Several celebraties have homes on Casey Key such as Stephen King. Even though Casey Key is semi-secluded, there is plenty to do including going to Nokomis Beach and North Jetty Park at the extreme south end of the key. You can search for fossilized sharks teeth or go shelling, fish,  boat, jet ski, and much much more including RELAX!.
