Sarasota has a rich history of the Circus as the home of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus for many years. I have included a link to our Circus History. Known as the "Circus Capital of the World," Sarasota, Florida now claims its own one-ring, five star international circus. The presence of Circus Sarasota as a Living institution and its artists as individual citizens has contributed substantially to the cultural richness and diversity, which is now synonymous with the Sarasota, Florida area.
